Accurately Transcribe Your Text To Runes From English And Old Norse

Hey, I'm Coyote and I'm a Swede with an interest for Norse Myths & culture. That's swell. You're probably the same way & you want something written in runes. That's also swell! However, I often see people who write in runes and they do it completely wrong. Let me explain:



The runic alphabets are phonetic. Each letter represents a sound. This means I very often see people write words and sentences in runes incorrectly, by 1:1 transcribing each letter of each word to a rune. This is not how it works. I also see a lot of people use Elder, which was not used as much for writing & is not as well suited.



IE: If I wanna write a word like “announcement” with runes I need to go by how it’s pronounced, so in runes it’s more like "ᛅᚾᚢᚾᛋᛘᛁᚾᛏ" which transcribed back becomes “anunsmint” ("ᚢ" represents most ooh, oow & uuh sounds).

Therefor, I am here offering my services to transcribe to you words or sentences in English to Runes accurately, with these rules in mind. I will, also, translate individual words from English to Old Norse - however not full sentences as I can't proclaim to be fluent in long-form Old Norse & grammar, just individual words.
