Subtitle A Video From English To Brazilian Portuguese

For $5 I will create translated subtitles for up to 4 minutes. If you have a longer video, there are discounts. Just check the packages :)

This gig is only for English to Portuguese translations. For Portuguese to Enligsh see my other gig.



I can deliver the work in 3 ways:

- Send you a .srt file. This is just the subtitles file, with no video. To play it, you'll have to open the video and choose the subtitle with a compatible player (such as VLC or Media Player Classic). This is good if you want no quality loss, or if you want to add the subtitles to an online video.

- Embed the subtitles. This way, the subtitle will be hardcoded, so I will send you a video that can be played in any player, with no additional settings. This process can take a long time, and there may be some quality loss, depending on the video.

- Add to your channel. If you have Community Contributions turned on in your Youtube account, I can send the subtitles directly to your video. The downside is that this option requires the user to manually activate the subtitles in the Youtube player.

Over-Promise, Under-Deliver! Very nice BEFORE getting the gig. As soon as I paid, immediately he sent an email saying he had got so many other orders, but hopefully he would get mine done in time! Mine was an 18 video subtitle project. It was mandatory that whomever I chose, they must be available to do ALL 18, but in increments of 2. He agreed. His first delivery was only 1 video. Said he wanted me to check quality before he worked on the 2nd video. Not Cool. Quality was...worse and compressed. He complained it was out of his control. I said just change bit rate to 3000. His feelings got hurt because I was more knowledgeable. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TRANSLATOR!

In my defense: I did have two orders to finish before starting to work on this one. So I set this order up with a 4 days timespan, which is still shorter than I normally do, but I didn't charge more for it. I delivered both subtitles files in time (but had some questions about the translation) and one video with burned subtitles, so he could review the style and the quality. I had finished the work, I just needed his input before I could make the final delivery. Instead, he didn't answer any of my questions about the translation, just talking about the quality. I did get the quality right and came up with my own answers to the translation questions, since he ignored them, and I delivered the final version without delay.
