Google Translate translates to other languages, but is it REALLY what you want to say? Avoid looking like a fool in front of Japanese native speakers, or those who know Japanese as a second language. The Japanese language is one of the hardest languages for native English speakers to learn and properly use. Their sentence structure is basically the opposite of the English language and their conjugations and understanding which particles (no, not the scientific kind) to use is frustrating as all hell. I have been studying the Japanese language for about four years now, collectively, between my university courses for two years, studying abroad in Japan for two weeks, living and teaching English there for five weeks, hosting five different Japanese students for a collective total of 6 weeks, being hosted by Japanese students and families for four of those 6 weeks, becoming really close friends with Japanese native speakers (seriously, more than half of my Facebook friend list is comprised of Japanese people), and practicing in my own free time! I may not have a vocabulary that will translate an entire book for you, but I can definitely translate some fun or really practical phrases.
